Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a pebbled shield bearing a raised Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, affixed with four reverse attachment prongs to its original lanyard, constructed of multiple rows of twisted and rolled silver aluminum wire which culminates at each end in a loop for uniform attachment, with field grey wool and silver grey rayon underlays beneath the insignia
