Germany, Wehrmacht. An Eastern Front Medal Archive St Onge signed a second(Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941 42). Constructed of zink, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a central Heer style eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse with an inscription of WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941 42 (WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941 42), topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 36. 02 mm (w) x 44. 27 mm (h), weighing 17. 9 grams, in better than very fine condition.
