Nepenthes bicalcarata x northiana pmax_collector This enigmatic species from Mindanao
Description
This enigmatic species from Mindanao produces some of the largest pitchers in the genus
The first 2 photos are mature plants from our collection also from Trusmadi
This specific grex is made using Nepenthes robcantleyi as the female parent and the Tambusisi form of Nepenthes hamata as the male
these all achieve the squat proportions at maturity that many deem desirable
As the name suggests
Nepenthes bicalcarata x northiana pmax_collector This enigmatic species from MindanaoA beautiful cross out of Thailand between 2 enigmatic lowland species. Plants are still young but display the color and shape of Nepenthes bicalcarata with peristome striping from northiana. There are only slight nubs of fangs at this time. As the plants age, we fully expect them to get more flared peristomes like northiana. We've noticed that young northiana plants and hybrids rarely exhibit wide, flared peristomes until they are much older. Plants
