This wine is dedicated to the ancient city of Sirai ond its ancient grape variety

Red and black fruit

Cool and windy Southerly slowed down flowering in November and reduced the yield

Slightly dryish finish with fine-grained tannins

Yangarra High Sands Grenache 2023 Size::1 Bottle what do we know100% Grenache. Block 31 (1. 7 Ha), 210m elevation, hand picked 20th March and selectively sorted. Destemmed and 50% whole berries retained. Wild yeast. Fermented in ceramic egg and small 1 tonne open top stainless steel with a long gentle maceration, minimum of 30 days. A portion extended maceration on skins for 4 months. No pressings are used in this wine. Matured on lees in older, thick stave Austrian puncheon and ceramic. Bottled February 2024.
